I have been aware for many years now about lax Data Protection within the whale and dolphin UK community and major organisations.
i have a curious mind so if I see my data in the wrong place I say how did you get there and by what means.
I have lots of proof of lax Data Protection between the whale and dolphin UK community and major organisations covering multiple islands.
It involves my Data being spread around with no thought of individual organisation DPA. And this could happen to you, accidentally or deliberately. In my case it was deliberate.
i know my data was passed from organisation to organisation to individual to individual to individual without my consent.
i know confidential emails have been passed around without my consent.
In alphabetical order these are the roundaboutery organisations that passed, received and passed, passed back to individuals, passed back to unrelated individuals to any organisation individual, take any variable of organisation to any variable of employee to any variable of volunteer to any variable of independent volunteer and that’s some web of my data passed without consent. All breaking DPA.
Stonewalling does not make this go away, ignoring this does not make it go away, invisible CEOs does not make it go away.
These organisations are not protecting the public as the law states it should. Organisations can quote as much DPA to me as they can but if they are not actioning it or protecting it within their organisation it means nothing.
A strange phenomenon occurs in the whale and dolphin UK community. An employee X primarily paid by A can volunteer with B and C, pass on data that should only be held by A who pays them. But B and C now have been told data and they then pass it on because X is nice and friendly and they don’t question the source of the data and don’t apply DPA. So B and C who have their own DPA think it’s ok to pass this on because X is nice and friendly and volunteers.
No organisation stands alone in DPA which it should. if I send a strictly confidential email to B that should stay strictly with B and is not shared by employees or volunteers. At the moment they are.
Outside influences should have no influence on individual employees or organisations yet they do. It’s a complicated web that should be just linear lines within a single organisation.
One organisation one DPA. No mixing.
For example: BDMLR NatureScot ORCA RSPB RSPB Scotland Seawatch Foundation SIC Sumburgh Head WDC WLO plus Individuals employed and volunteering with said organisations.
before you ask yes I have proof.
